We were lucky to get to Arches at the best time of the day. There was not much time left before sunset but it allowed us to experience perhaps the most beautiful moments.

We made a short stop at Park Avenue. After studying the park map, we decided to get to Windows section for sunset. Thus we arrived, strolling around, enjoying fantastic view of arches, taking pictures, watching sunset, taking pictures again. It was just like a perfect evening in Arches.

The next day we visited Devils Garden. It quite deserved its name. Want to see something beautiful ? There is a price to pay. I started the trail with ambition to reach Double O Arch but..

On the way back we came to Delicate Arch viewpoint to see one of the most photographed arch in the park. It was amazing. I mean, it was amazing that the arch looked so "big" in those pictures I saw before..

What do you expect ? The name is "DELICATE" Arch.

We did not have time to join the ranger-guided tour for Fiery Furnace. It will be on top of my to-do list the next time I come here.

Do you get some ideas from the name of these places ? "Devils Garden", "Fiery Furnace"..

Activity Suggestion
It could be physical challenging to reach some of the famous arches. Be warned, this may not be good for the whole family especially in hot summer day.

We highly recommend that you allocate at least one full day for this park and enjoy the sunset time. If time does not allow, stop a couple minutes at Park Avenue and two plus hours at Windows section (driving, walking, etc). Devils Garden has some of the most famous arches like Landscape Arch. The trail becomes more difficult as you reach deeper inside. Allow at least two hours of walk if you just want to see Landscape Arch and other arches on the way. We haven't completed the loop which would take at least 4 hours. Don't try if you have doubt in your physical condition. Carry more-than-enough water for everybody, because there is no enough.

Arches National Park is close to Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point state park. Nearby Moab is a big town with lots of motels and restaurants. You can spend a cople days in these three parks.

By the way, the locals told us that Dead Horse Point has the best sunrise and sunset view. We don't have chance to verify so we pass that to you as FYI.
