| | | Activity Suggestion | | |
This national park is everything about cactus and desert view. There is not
much else to see or to do here. We have only been to the west side of
the park but the park ranger told us that the east is similar to the west.
The park is adjacent to Tucson and is close to Phoenix. Visit if you
happen to be around or if you are very interested in cactus and desert.
You won't see anything else.
I can't imagine anyone would hike in summer days. Driving should be a wiser choice.
On the park loop you have opportunity to see a forest of huge Saguaro cacti
and enjoy the southwest desert atmosphere.
Choose either one of the park area and spend probably 2 to 4 hours. The visitor
center has nice exhibition and slide show that shouldn't be missed.
